"If you can
tear yourself away from "Gerry's Berry Buffet Breakfast"
or
afternoon cookies and cream on the veranda,
you might consider
touring the surrounding area
where this charming 1830's B&B is located; classic styling is met
with luxurious modern amenities at
this cliffside spot frequented by TV producers scouting locations
and soaking up works of the former artists-in-residence."

We had the most amazing
stay at the Century House. Perfect location-dreamy
breakfast! Nicest, warmest place to stay on the
island.

Best places to stay on
Nantucket Island. Our stay in the Red Dahlia
was divine. The room is a masterpiece-soothing breezes,
comfortable bed and crisp bed linens and the Molton
Brown products In the roomy bathroom did not go
unnoticed. Internet access throughout the house kept as
connected with our son at camp. We vacationed calm and
worry free. We will surely be back. Carolyn and Peter,

The Century House is where
you want to be to experience the true feeling of
Nantucket. From the warm accommodations to the
friendly staff, we will never stay anywhere else on the
island. Our ten-day stay was the perfect
honeymoon."

We just wanted to write to
tell you how much we absolutely enjoyed our stay at the
Century House. We immediately fell in love with
the inn's charm and felt right at home as everyone
(staff and guests) were super friendly and helpful.
We loved how the Century House was quiet and intimate
and yet close to all the little shops and wonder of
downtown Nantucket. Additionally, we greatly
appreciated our newlywed bottle of champagne and the
memories. We will be sure to see you next year for
our anniversary. Thanks again, Lissa and William |

Thank you for the
opportunity to experience Century House. Our room
was lovely-the artwork and fabrics and having a fridge.
The inn was immaculate and the breakfast delightful.
If our future plans include Nantucket, we'll be sure to
think of Century House first. Sincerely, Shelley
and Ed

Staying at the Century
House as a part of our wedding celebrations was a true
pleasure and we want to thank you for making the
preceding it, even more memorable.
You and your staff made our and our guests' stay at the
Century House above and beyond very special
consideration that we expected. Your attention to
details was impeccable. You were wonderful and we
appreciate it.
Kind Regards, John and Klare, New York, NY |

The room, the
friendly owner and staff, and especially the breakfast
were all outstanding. The best granola I've ever
tasted... Century House is now one of my new favorite
places.

"I had the good fortune of spending 2 nights at
the Century House recently. This classically decorated
inn situated just a few steps from the downtown area of
Nantucket is the epitome of gracious hospitality. The
welcome mat is clearly out for guests who appreciate the
extra thought that has gone into making it feel like you
are spending time with long lost friends. Their kitchen
is your kitchen as you gather for a lush continental
breakfast and help yourself to the abundance of fresh
fruit, cereals and pastries. Each guestroom is
individually decorated, blessed with Molton Brown
products, cable television and a selection of reading
materials. Beverages are always available and a wide
sweeping front porch and accompanying patios offer a
lovely place to gather. Innkeepers, Jean and Gerry,
make a special effort to reach out to their guests and
to share the Nantucket they love. You will love it too."

"Just a note along with some pictures to tell
you much much we truly enjoyed staying at the
Century House. We fell in love with our room,
the house, the service, our surroundings and
both you and Jerry. You made our stay a very
pleasant one. Your staff was so professional,
warmhearted and so caring of our needs. We loved
the Century House. It's so romantic, and
beautifully designed. Each room has so much
history and meaning behind it.... Walking into
the Living room each morning smelling the
freshly baked muffins and fresh brewed coffee,
was a smell and sight we will NEVER forget!
Thank you so much for everything! We love
Nantucket so much, and definitely will see you
next summer! Enjoy the pictures, as we have. We
looked at them over and over."

"The
Century House is a beautiful place with great hospitality and lots
of fun."
Joel Jacobs, Ex New England Patriots; May
2006
"The
weekends I have stayed at the Century House have been by far the
most relaxing and rejuvenating times in my hectic schedule. How easy
it is to be swept into the peace and beauty that surrounds all you
do while staying at the Inn. From the fabulous art galleries and
beautiful guest rooms to the unbelievable breakfasts and
accommodating innkeepers, there is nothing about the Century House
that could be better. There is no doubt that Nantucket is a very
special place to visit; and while on the island the Century House
is, without a doubt, the best place to stay."
Kathleen G, Massachusetts;
Season 2005
"Not
long ago I had the delightful pleasure of spending a long
week-end at your charming Bed and Breakfast. From the moment
I arrived I felt the magic in the air and was instantly
swept away with the charm of Nantucket Island. The Century
House, with its large wrap-around porch, begged this weary
traveler to enjoy an early morning breakfast or just sit for
hours with a good book. I even found my room complete with
an immense bookcase filled with hundreds of unread stories.
Every attention to detail was set forth for my comfort and
enjoyment. I returned home with a calm soul and a more
serene outlook on life...a wonderful tribute to the
innkeepers and the professional staff."
Catherine, Season 2005
"Nantucket is a beautiful island, with so many things to do
-location, boating, tennis, restaurants. Century House is so
charming with an extremely gracious host. Can't wait to
return to such an idyllic place."
Carol, Season 2005
The old world elegance
of the Inn, coupled with the warm hospitality of the
proprietors in the best of locations make the Century House
a vacation to remember."
"A quiet old world haven, close to beautiful beaches and strolling
distance into town - where the ambiance is only exceeded by the
hospitality."
Michelle Lynch & Robert Thoubboron,

"The Century House is at the
heart of everything, yet one step removed...it's the best of what it
means to be on Nantucket." Lynne and Tracy, Wakefield, RI; June

"A place for everything, and everything in its place. Wonderfully
relaxing.
Christina & Tim, Highland Mills, N.Y.; June 2005
"As
I sit at this warm and homey sitting, just having finished a
wonderful breakfast of homemade fare I feel grateful for this
respite from my usual busy life. The atmosphere at this lovely
inn is so enjoyable and warm. I feel like I'm visiting family.
Everyone is helpful and kind and the accommodations are exceptional.
I will recommend this delightful inn to my friends and hope to visit
again one day."
With sincere appreciation, Jill, Glendale, CA; June 2005
"This fantastic little oasis in a charming New England Island
relaxed us completely. We loved the inn on a quiet street in a
great room & bed!" Thomas & Sandra, Chicago, IL; June 2005
"We were very fortunate to have our 4 daughters give us a gift
certificate to stay at the Century House for our 40th anniversary.
They used their computer skills to find the Century House website
and I must say they made a great choice. The friendly
innkeepers, JeanE & Gerry, the lovely decor and the delightful
buffet made for a wonderful stay. As an artist
myself, I must add that their choice and abundance of art work is
outstanding. Each room is a mini gallery. Such a
wonderful place to spend time on this beautiful island. Dave & Joan, Warwick, RI; June 2005
"Fabulous berry assortment make breakfast the best anywhere...a
