An Island Thought

An Island Thought While Watching the Sunset

By Land, Sea or Air
We all must venture off
Maybe for a day or week or life
We all must venture off

As we do not get the chance to choose our beginnings
We learn and begin to choose our directions
Maybe North, South, East or West
We learn and begin to choose our directions.

Thus middle life approaches and limits these choices
We all put down roots strong and weak
Life proceeds by days and weeks
We all put down roots, strong and weak.

The days appear shorter as they roll along
The ocean is wide and the path is narrow
The Seasons for tell our life in color
The ocean is wide and the path is narrow.

To spend time in a unique place
The stars are plenty and the moon is bright
We get to make a real choice in life
The stars are plenty and the moon is bright.
